Crystal Optic Co., Ltd. was founded in Incheon in 1992, beginning as an optical shop with a chain network across Seoul and the Gyeonggi region.

In 1998, the company successfully researched and developed medical loupes, achieving full domestic production in Korea. At a time when the local medical loupe market was still undeveloped, Crystal Optic played a pioneering role by introducing and supplying Korean-made loupes to the domestic medical community.

Through continuous new product development, the company introduced ultra-compact medical lights and, for the first time in Korea, launched fully customized 1:1 personal loupes using the TTL (Through-The-Lens) method.

Built on decades of experience operating optical shops, Crystal Optic is led by licensed opticians who combine deep optical expertise with specialized knowledge of medical loupes. From precise measurement and manufacturing to professional fitting, the company provides comprehensive, expert support using carefully selected lenses and advanced technology.

In 2012, Crystal Optic launched its medical loupe brand, SURGELOUP.

Today, the SURGELOUP loupe division is carried forward as a family business by the second generation. Building upon founder Jun Nyeon Kim’s long-established technical expertise, the next generation integrates modernized systems and close, face-to-face customer service to ensure the sustainable growth and continued evolution of the SURGELOUP brand.
